Super good!! Never would have noticed it or known about it if a coworker hadn't recommended it! I got the club panini, and be warned, it IS messy as described! They have lots of napkins for this purpose though. I also got hand cut fries, and all the food was very yummy! Lots of honey mustard on the panini and very salty fries. The staff are all very nice and welcoming and they cook the food quickly!

This is probably the best sandwich place in Fort Walton Beach. If you want a great hand-crafted panini, warm sandwich, or burger, you'll love Sax's. Only open for lunch M-Sa.
It's not fancy. The place is friendly and clean. Just a block west of Eglin Pkwy.
Been there 4 times now and never disappointed. -

Had a really good lunch at Sax today. Super friendly owners, large sandwiches that look like you made them yourself and fair prices with enough to bring home for tomorrow.
This a small place newly opened. Menu is simple and straightforward. A handful of homey sandwich options along with burgers and salads.
Wife had the Hot Brown Panini (the owners are from KY) I had the fried bologna sandwich, both rarely seen on FWB menus. A sign on the wall says the sandwiches are "messy" and that was in fact accurate but that is how I make mine at home so I was good with it. My wife ate hers with a knife and fork. French fries were really good, sandwiches served with a pickle.
Tiny suggestion - most everybody loves french fries but a side salad option would be cool even for an up charge, plus they make their own dressings.
We will be back for sure. -

What a nice surprise. The food was great and the people were friendly. Our food was prepared very quickly. We had the Philly Steak sandwich and the club panini with an order of fries.
